Sean -

Great work on the board! You've included lots of great features and made it very easy to navigate and post - thanks!

Is there any chance to include a repository of lyrics and tabs? I am very sensitive to artist rights & copyright issues, so I completely understand if the answer is 'no'. However, if at all possible it would be most swell for those of us who are hack (or better) guitarists to have a place of reference - one that is accurate and not moving one step ahead of the copyright police every couple of weeks...I know other boards who do allow (Warren Zevon's son Jordan moderates part of that board and allows tabs) and others who don't allow. Where do Rodney & management stand on the tab issue?

Thanks! jim

Hi, This is your newest member, RecoveryRoadshow, or Dale actually. I am a guitarist singer/songwriter who wants to pay for copywritten sheet music by any number of artists, and I have problems finding most of what I want. So...I go to Chordie.com, where I found eight Rodney songs of interest to me. My interest in Rodney Crowell's music starts with "The Houston Kid" and ends with "Sex and Gasonline" (for now). The songs and lyrics from these four CD's are stunning, devestating, unbelievable. I went to see Rodney about six months ago at the Iron Horse in Northhampton, Mass. I was seated so close, I was able to lean my arm on his monitor. I can't describe what happened that night, other than to say it was like a spiritual experience. Any help I could get locating sheet music (chords) for songs would be great, like posting them on this website, if possible. I prefer not to pirate music or lyrics - it's hypocritcal to me, as an artist. However, I can't pay for what's not available. Help, Rodney!

Hey Dale! Welcome!

The Rodney version's I've found have not been Rodney versions. They have been Willie Nelson versions or Emmylou versions. I'm not sure Rodney have sheetmusic for sale. But, if you happen to find any. Please let us know. He could sell a ton of it!

Dale & Jim

I have the lyrics (no tabs) to around 250 songs written or co-written by Rodney from 1973 - 2009 which have either been recorded / performed live by Rodney and other artists.
